Tibetan Rudraksha Mala

This handcrafted mala is made up of 108 Rudraksha seed beads. These seeds have a wonderful dry texture and feel like an aged wood. These are good beads for counting or meditating as they have a stimulating feel. The seeds are seperated by large, inlaid counter beads that are mountain coral and turquoise chips set in brass. They are handmade and have great character.

These Rudraksha seed beads are 7- 8mm around. They are the dried seeds of the tree, Elaeocarpus, which is highly revered in India for thousands of years. The tree grows in the Himalayan mountains and on Java and is sacred in Hinduism. Please see below for a size reference.
