Prayer Wheels in Handcarved Wooden Frame

Very special set of prayer wheels that are made of beautiful multi-colored, mixed metals decorated with mantras and inlaid turquoise and mountain coral. Combining silver, copper and brass gives each cylinder a lovely color and texture. They are carefully set in a handcarved wooden frame that allows each wheel to spin freely.

Prayer wheels are hollow cylinders that contain a tightly wound scroll printed with sacred texts. They are spun during devotional ceremonies. This is considered as effective as reciting the prayers aloud.

Overall length of the carved frame is 9 inches. Height is 4.25 inches. Total depth is 2.25 inches. Frame is fitted with secure metal hangers if wall mounting is desired. Lovingly handmade by Tibetans in Nepal.
