Lapis Stone Chips

Natural chips of the gemstone lapis lazuli set in sterling silver prong posts. These mystical blue and gold stones do not disappoint. They are smooth to the touch and alive with color. Used for centuries as a dye, lapis lazuli was ground into powder and was considered the finest and most expensive of all blue pigments. This glittering blue gem was ground into a silken powder called aquamarine and it was used to cover the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
