These lovely labradorite cabochons have a deep rich charcoal hue with very distinctive clouds of blue fog, much like the mystical aurora borealis that shimmers in the Arctic sky. Set in smooth sterling silver with three tiny ball accents, and sterling earwires.
Labradorite was indeed discovered in Labrador by Moravian missionaries in the late 1700's. It also occurs in Newfoundland, Norway and Finland, and has also been found in Madagascar, China, Australia and the Central European country of Slovak Republic. Romantic sounding places for this intriguing, exotic stone!
