Coral Oval Necklace

Glorious glowing shade of red in this sponge coral necklace. Set in sterling silver, it is enhanced with an etched and a coiled bezel. Complete with sterling chain.

Sponge coral is produced by small sea creatures called polyps. After the polyps vacate the coral, they leave open holes that give it a sponge appearance. Found mostly in the South China Sea and Indonesia, it is not an endangered species.
