Authentic Roman Coins

Flavius Julius Constantius II, second of three sons of Constantine the Great. In 323 until 337, he was made Caesar. After the death of his father in 337, he ruled with his brothers until 353, when he then became the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. His greatest foe was Persia, who he was unsuccessful in conquering. He tried to close the heathen temples and abolish sacrifices, but he was inconsistent in his rulings and edicts. He had an antogonistic relationship with the Christian church. He was known for inflamed domestic conflicts, repeated civil wars and court intrigues.
