A wonderful, earthy, organic combination - our very own, locally collected St John opal on the bottom, the top is a golden rutilated quartz crystal. Set in smooth sterling silver bezels and crowned by an ornate sterling silver bail. Each pendant is one of a kind made with natural stones, each with its own character, texture and color.

Rutilated quartz is a quartz crystal which contains needle fine inclusions of rutile, which is a mineral primarily composed of titanium dioxide and iron oxide. Rutiles are so fine and golden, the shimmering strains are called 'angel's hair.' Therefore, rutilated quartz is often called Angel's Hair Crystal!
